Guideline - Senior Backend Engineer

About our Client

Guideline is the easy, affordable way to invest in a 401K. Their retirement platform allows users to automate their plans, recordkeeping, investment management, and more. Guideline’s mission is simple, to allow small businesses and their employees the chance to save for the future.

The Challenge

A Senior Backend Engineer at Guideline would be responsible for building backend services for their current and V1 services. They desperately needed engineers to help build out their Payroll Integrations, Automated Tax Filings, RoboAdvising Services, and more. To achieve their goals, the Backend Engineer would build and maintain APIs for web and mobile applications that will help automate administrative tasks.

Guideline’s largest challenge was finding someone with Ruby experience in the FinTech industry on top of having experience and understanding of stock trading. Nxt Level was able to find high-level engineers to join Guideline as they looked to scale and grow after their $200 million dollar Series E.
