The Challenge

DoubleVerify was looking for a product policy manager who would be responsible for directing the company's approach to content classification. The ideal candidate would need to have a deep understanding of internet policy issues, media regulatory issues, and the law. They would also need to be able to work across content verticals, ranging from misinformation and hate speech to crime, violence, and disasters. The ideal candidate would need to be able to research public opinions and advertiser perspectives to inform policy creation and policy adjustments. Most candidates in the market seemed to have extremely focused niche areas of product policy, and DoubleVerify needed someone who could own a much larger scope than larger companies allowed.
