Supernatural is the leader in VR fitness. Developed by parent company Within VR, Supernatural was created specifically for the Meta Quest to allow users to exercise anytime, anywhere. They offer the “private instructor” experience for a low monthly price with courses like boxing, flow (hitting targets with two bats), meditation, and recovery. Each course is done to the rhythm of great music, new and old, to get the participant to dance and be more involved in the workout process. Overall, Supernatural makes working out fun.
In 2022, Within, along with Supernatural, were purchased by Meta.
The Challenge
A Senior Unity Developer at Supernatural is tasked with pushing the boundaries of Virtual Reality on the client-side. This includes adding and improving on features already in the app and integrating backend services. This person will also be helping with optimization for the Meta Quest (mobile VR platform). As the team moved towards a 2020 release, they required an expert to join the team and help them bring their fitness platform to an even higher level.
The Minimum Requirements
4+ years in an engineering environment
Proven track record of working on a live-service product
Professional Unity experience with C#
Understanding 3D applications and asset management
