About our Client:

They offer staking middleware, and application layer solutions for token holders and developers investing in and building on Web 3 technologies.
They provide enterprise-grade node and staking infrastructure, as well as developer tools. Not only that, but they’re also actively participating in community & governance.
The Challenge:
The Director of DevOps will be managing Managers of DevOps at Figment. They currently run 60+ blockchains with ambitions to scale to over 600+. The team is running hybrid cloud services and physical servers across multiple global hosting services and data centers. Their systems are primarily in Linux and using Ansible.
With their $110M Series C, a significant portion of that investment is going towards the infrastructure-focused products being built for cloud and on-prem infrastructure. This means significantly growing the team and scaling up the infrastructure practice.
Figment was focused on finding a director that was passionate about growing an engineering team. Managers at Figment are focused on supporting their engineers, removing bottlenecks, and partnering with product managers to deliver. They’re not tasked with making technical decisions for the team, but instead, build a team of principal engineers and architects to orchestrate the conversation around technical decisions.
The minimum requirements:

5+ years in Management with 2+ years managing managers.

Experience owning a hybrid cloud infrastructure
