About our Client:
Skytap’s mission is simple: make it easy, fast, and safe for their customers to move and natively run their traditional systems in the public cloud with minimal change. Founded in 2006, they’ve spent over fifteen years working closely with enterprises globally to accelerate their journey to the cloud. During this time, they pioneered the path for IBM Power Systems to the cloud and partnered globally with Microsoft Azure and IBM Cloud.
The Challenge:
As they were continuing to grow their partnerships with IBM and Microsoft, Skytap needed a CTO that would not only continue to expand those partnerships, but guide their 120+ product and technology team to help win their most strategic customer opportunities.
Skytap’s challenge was finding someone with an expertise and passion for building highly available IaaS or PaaS products for enterprise customers. The CTO for Skytap will help recruit new team members, expand their partnerships with Microsoft and IBM, and be a change agent and a champion for internal and external stakeholders. This candidate would need an expert level understanding of cloud computing technologies that would allow them to clearly present to a board of directors.
